Leigh Chiller’s expressive abstractions are a distilled journey into landscape. He gives us the essence: that split second glimpse of his experience in the natural environment.
'I try to get people to see what’s there and not be focused on a preconceived idea of what a picture should be. The thing’s moving, there’s wind, the light’s changing, painting’s not about a static view anymore.'
Leigh Chiller’s work is represented in Swan Hill Regional Gallery, Mildura Regional Art Gallery, and various private, public and corporate collections in Australia, Europe, USA and Asia.
