Herman Pekel, Peter Smales and Joseph Zbukvic are returning to Metropolis Gallery for a third masters’ exhibition of landscape paintings. These exceptional paintings of Geelong region and beyond are of places we know well, but the seemingly effortless impressions of light and colour contain an individual artistic energy and excitement in the process of painting that takes these works beyond an expected reality.
