David Newbury was born in Eltham in 1925, the son of
A.E. Newbury. These predominantly coastal paintings
were painted during the 1980’s and 1990’s when
Newbury was living in Geelong, and reflect the importance of times spent
painting outdoors near the family’s retreat at Moggs Creek.
